We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Software Engineer to join our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand expertise in the Syncade MES platform within the highly regarded Pharmaceutical Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing operations. The selected candidate will collaborate with a knowledgeable and supportive team of professionals with deep experience in the Syncade system.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Support

· Provide comprehensive day-to-day technical support for the Syncade MES platform, including troubleshooting issues

· Participate in a shared on-call rotation with team members to ensure 24/7 platform availability and rapid incident response

· Monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues before they impact production

Implementation & Deployment Support

· Enhance implemented recipes and production workflows to align with evolving operational requirements.

· Support program enhancements and modifications to meet manufacturing objectives

· Provide comprehensive go-live support, including pre-launch testing, issue resolution, and production validation

· Deliver user training and documentation to ensure successful adoption across manufacturing teams

· Support system upgrades, security administration, and hot fix deployments

System Administration & Governance

· Perform system administration tasks including security management, user access controls, and server infrastructure oversight

· Document project lifecycle activities, configurations, and executions within the ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) system as per client requirements.

· Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer or software engineering.

· Scripting/Programming proficiency: Practical experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, VB.NET, C#); ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize scripts for MES operations

· Experience with database platforms such as SQL Server or Oracle.

· Technical troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in production environments.

· System administration experience: Basic understanding of database management, server operations, and application security

· Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document solutions clearly

· ISA 88 knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of ANSI/ISA 88 batch control standards and their application in MES environments

· Collaborative Mindset: Strong teamwork skills and ability to support colleagues in a shared on-call environment

Working Conditions

· Standard office environment with manufacturing floor access as needed

· On-call rotation responsibilities (shared among team members)

· Production support may require flexible scheduling during critical manufacturing
