Carlos Hernández

Carlos has over 26 years of experience in process engineering, project engineering & management, manufacturing operations and automation/process control in the pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and automation technology industries. 

Carlos joined Principia in 2013 as Business Developer/Operations Advisor and later served as Automation Operations Lead, contributing to the sustained growth, technical development and geographical expansion of Principia’s Automation business unit. Currently, as Business Operations Manager he oversees operations, sales/marketing strategies, and customer relations. 

He began his professional career as a Process Engineer with Merck Puerto Rico, and then joined Pfizer where he held positions of increasing responsibility in automation project engineering, API process management, and automation project management in Puerto Rico, Connecticut, and Singapore. His career profile also includes Coopervision Puerto Rico, where he built and led the local advanced manufacturing technology team, and Emerson Process Management Puerto Rico, where he built and led the local automation team.

Carlos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.
